Are you interested in a review of the Samsung A14 5G? Read this review before you buy to get all the details. The phone is available in three colors: black, dark red, and light green, and comes in three variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage for around Rs 12000, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage for Rs 14500, and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for Rs 16499. Let’s determine if it’s worth the price.
Samsung A14 5G Review: Design
The design of the Samsung A14 5G is wonderful. Its frame on all four sides is made of plastic, its back panel is also completely plastic, and you will get Gorilla Glass on the front. There is a 3.5mm jack and a Type C port at the bottom. There is a noise-cancellation microphone at the top and a fingerprint sensor on the phone’s right side. The look of the phone is similar to the S series, a little thick, and its weight is around 202 grams overall. It looks good, and the built-in quality is also decent.
Samsung A14 5G: Display
Talking about the display, it gives you a 6.6-inch PLS LCD with a 90 Hz refresh rate, whereas other competitors in this range provide you with an AMOLED display, but despite having a PLS LCD, it gives a very good experience; you will enjoy watching any show series. The colors also look good; the bezels are thick and it has a water drop notch, which I don’t like. Talking about the brightness, it has a brightness of 450 nits, which I feel is less, and the overall display does not look very good. But you will have a good experience watching any movie series.
Samsung A14 5G Review: Performance
It comes with an Exynos 1330 processor, and you will get the OneUI 5.0 Core, which is based on Android 13. It is very smooth, and this is a capable processor. You can do gaming on it, but you cannot do gaming on the basic variant. Samsung A14 5G, which has 3 variants: the basic variant 4GB with 64GB and another 6GB with 128GB, and the last 8GB with 128GB storage. You will also get 2 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates. Talking about connectivity, it comes with dual-band Wi-Fi and supports Bluetooth 5.2. You will also find some bloatware, but you can uninstall it.
Samsung A14 5G Review: Battery
Samsung A14 5G has a 5000mAh battery with 15W charging which is enough and this battery will last for one and a half to two days if you are doing normal tasks and even if you are doing heavy tasks, the battery will comfortably last for a day. There is no need to worry about it, you will get good battery backup but one disadvantage is that you will not get charging adapter in it, only you will get type C cable.
Samsung A14 5G Review: Camera
This phone has a great camera setup with 50MP + 2MP + 2MP, while the selfie camera is 13MP. Both the front and back cameras take nice pictures. The photos from the main camera are actually impressive, with good color reproduction and detail. The selfie camera also delivers clear and detailed pictures. Both the front and rear cameras can record video at 1080p at 30 fps, providing stable footage. Portrait photos come out well, and even in low light, you can capture good-quality images.
Conclusion
The Samsung A14 5G looks stunning with a design similar to the more expensive S Series phones. The screen is also good quality, but it has an old-fashioned notch at the top and the edges are quite thick. But if you do not have any problems with its display look and slow charging, then you can take it, but I will not recommend the basic variant. You can take the 6GB or 8GB variants. Also, the phone does not come with a charger in the box. So here also, you will have to manage, but in this price range, many better options are available in the market, so you should also check the other options before buying it.
